The Frozen Cut series developed from years of methodical experimentation with textiles exposed to natural processes. Calle Henzel studied how erosion, thawing snow, and shifting landscapes alter surfaces over time, translating these observations into a new language for hand-knotted rugs. The result is an approach that treats each piece as both designed object and living form—rooted in craftsmanship while informed by research and environmental awareness. Every rug negotiates the space between art and function, inviting a slower reading of texture, edge, and movement. Designs can be customized in scale, silhouette, material, and palette, with our team overseeing precise production to meet the demands of projects at any level.
