Developed for Atelier Bowy C.D., part of Henzel Studio, this work by Andrée Cooke forms part of The Atelier Editions program, a series of limited textile works created in collaboration with artists, architects and designers. The piece is introduced in the context of Milan Design Week at Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, within the historic spaces of Le Cavallerizze.

Cooke’s work begins with fragments of the city. Creased metal, folded surfaces and traces of urban residue become the starting point for a sculptural translation into textile form. In this composition, such fragments are enlarged and extended into elongated structures that move across the surface like suspended bodies.
